Governor’s Housing Committee

The Governor’s Housing Committee is responsible for managing and supporting an official residence for the Governor of Idaho, as established in Idaho Code §67-455. Although any property acquired is owned by the State of Idaho, it is administered on behalf of the committee by the Idaho Department of Administration. The committee may accept grants, gifts, and donations from public or private sources to support the acquisition, construction, renovation, furnishing, equipping, and maintenance of the residence. The committee is authorized by Idaho Code §67-455A to acquire and manage real and personal property related to the governor’s residence, including the purchase, sale, lease, or other disposition of property, as appropriate.

The Governor’s Housing Committee meets annually. All meetings are held in the JRW West Conference Room, 700 W State St, Boise, ID 83702.
