Installing Yellow Ribbons on the Capital Building pillars.

Capitol Mall Business Recycling

Blue recycling barrels are located throughout the Capitol Mall offices. The recyclables are collected by the custodial staff of Facilities Services and transferred to green central bins. Each day, Allied Waste Service collects the recycling from these central bins. The company processes approximately 60,000 tons of material each year—with approximately 20 tons coming from the Capitol Mall.

If the recycling barrels in your agency are full, email Facilities Services to schedule a pick-up.

For more information regarding recyclables, contact Allied Waste Service at 208.345.1265. For more information about this page, please email the Facilities Management or call 208.332.1900.

What Can and Cannot Be Recycled

Please place ALL recyclables in the single bin. Allied Waste Service will separate the contents. This method is called mixed recycling, and it allows us to use just one bin for everything rather than needed separate bins for each type if recyclable item.
