The State of Idaho has determined that the prescription drug coverage on all of the Active and Retired Employee medical plans is creditable. Creditable means that the amount this prescription drug coverage is expected to pay (on average) is as much as what the standard Medicare prescription drug coverage (Medicare Part D) will pay. Recent mailings have been sent out to our retirees to reiterate the important information discussed during the August retiree meetings.
The Office of Group Insurance hosted another series of meetings around the state in August. The purpose of the meetings was to go over the impact of changes in the Retiree Medical plans following passage of House Bill 173 during the recent legislative session.
