Cutting of Idaho State Capitol Holiday Tree – November 16th

WHAT:

Cutting of the Idaho State Capitol Holiday Tree.

WHEN:

Tree cutting will take place on Tuesday, November 16th beginning at approximately 8:30 a.m. Following the cutting, the tree will be transported to the Statehouse, arriving between 10:30 a.m. and 12 noon. (Official Tree Lighting Ceremony is scheduled for 6 p.m. November 30, 2004. Tracy Wilde, Office of the Governor, is coordinating the Ceremony activities).

WHERE:

The tree was donated by Clinton (deceased) and Ruth White, and will be cut at 2410 Jean Street (near the cross of Vista Avenue and Kootenai; access off Vista or Columbia). The tree is a Blue Spruce and is approximately 50 feet in
height, but will be cut to approximately 35 feet. (Trees in recent years have been Blue Spruces).

Boise City Police are escorting the truck in transporting the tree via Federal Way and Capitol Boulevard to the Capitol Building.
