December 20, 2000

BOISE – The Idaho Department of Administration has launched its newly re-designed website at adm.idaho.gov The new site is one of the largest within Idaho state government and provides business management and administrative services to all state agencies.

The department administers such state government operations as administrative rules and rule making; property, casualty and group insurance; building design, management, construction and maintenance; procurement, surplus property and document management; public safety communications; and information technology policy, research and development.

The website was redesigned through a service agreement with the Idaho Information Consortium which operates the state’s official home page at accessidaho.org

“Our goal in redesigning our website has not only been to make it more user-friendly with quicker access to on-line services and information, but to accommodate the evolving environment of on-line services coming in the future,” said Pam Ahrens, department director. “We believe both our internal agency customers, Idaho citizens, and visitors will find the site more pleasing in appearance, and will discover information packaged in a way that is easier to find and to use.”

As a result of the re-vamp, the department effectively consolidated and streamlined some 3,863 total content information files from its old website, to 2,790 content files. Questions, comments regarding the department’s new website can be directed to Jon Eckerle, Webmaster, at www@adm.idaho.gov
